Action Alert: Boston City Council Parking Minimum Hearing

The Boston City Council has scheduled a crucial hearing to explore amending the Boston Zoning Code to remove parking minimum requirements for new residential development. 

The hearing is set to take place on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM.

 There are two primary ways you can make your voice heard:

  1. Attend and Testify (In-Person or Virtually): We strongly encourage you to attend the meeting, either in person at City Hall or virtually via Zoom, and offer brief verbal testimony in favor of the proposal. Personal stories and concise arguments are highly impactful.
    1. In-Person:Those wishing to testify in person should arrive five (5) minutes before the call of the hearing in the Iannella Chamber at Boston City Hall to sign up on the clipboard sheet provided.
    2. Virtually:Those wishing to testify virtually via videoconference should email Meagan Corugedo at meagan.corugedo@boston.gov for a link and instructions to do so.
  2. Submit Written Testimony: Written testimony can be submitted via email and must be sent to the committee email at ccc.plandev@boston.gov, all city councilors and Meagan Corugedo at meagan.corugedo@boston.gov.
