On December 6th, the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (EOHLC) issued draft regulations to assist municipalities implement the statewide legalization of Accessory Dwelling Units. This is a major milestone in the process of implementing the Affordable Homes Act and is incredibly important because the success of the ADU law will depend on how strong the state regulations are.
As part of the regulation development process, EOHLC will hold a public comment period from December 20th to January 10th, during which anyone may submit comments on the draft regulations.
