Racial Justice, The MBTA Communities Law and Holden

Join us in Holden for a presentation and discussion that delves into the significance of the MBTA Communities Law and its role in promoting community desegregation throughout Massachusetts.

Presenter Bob Van Meter, Senior Advisor at JALSA and interim Executive Director of the Brookline Community Development Corporation, will provide an overview of the MBTA Communities Law, and discuss how this legislation can foster more inclusive, sustainable communities in Holden and Central Massachusetts. Participants will learn about the history of exclusionary zoning and how the MBTA Communities Law can help redress the harms caused by exclusionary zoning. Participants will also learn how to connect these teachings to opportunities to take action in Holden!

Dinner will be provided. Childcare can be provided upon request.

This event is co-sponsored by the Holden Democratic Town Committee and Wachusett Area Social Justice Alliance (WASJA).
